Preserving the Yellow Breeches for Future Generations

Yellow Breeches Anglers & Conservation Association is committed to protecting and enhancing the Yellow Breeches Creek and its surrounding watershed through conservation, stewardship, and community involvement. Since 1961, the organization has worked to support healthy fisheries and encourage responsible use of this valuable natural resource.

The Yellow Breeches is recognized throughout Pennsylvania for its scenic beauty, recreational opportunities, and outstanding trout fishing. Preserving the health of the creek is essential not only for anglers, but for the broader community and local ecosystem as well.

Supporting Healthy Fisheries

One of YBAC’s primary conservation efforts is the operation of its cooperative trout nursery. Each year, volunteers raise thousands of trout that are stocked into the Yellow Breeches in partnership with the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission.

By helping sustain healthy fish populations, the organization contributes to the long-term enjoyment and accessibility of public fishing opportunities throughout the watershed.

Stewardship Through Volunteer Service

The work of protecting the watershed depends heavily on volunteers who generously give their time throughout the year. Members assist with nursery operations, trout stocking, maintenance projects, and club activities that support the organization’s mission.

Volunteer involvement helps foster a strong sense of stewardship and shared responsibility for the future of the Yellow Breeches.

A Continuing Commitment

Protecting the Yellow Breeches is an ongoing effort that requires dedication, cooperation, and community support. Through volunteer service, membership involvement, and conservation-focused programs, YBAC continues its long-standing mission of preserving this treasured waterway for future generations to enjoy.
